ItInsightsWorld General Desk: 2GB Raspberry Pi Boards Rise to $67.50 and $77.50

The newest Raspberry Pi price change has been tracked by ItInsightsWorld as memory-related costs stay elevated and continue moving upward. The adjustment follows a sequence that began after sharp increases spread through the market over the past two years.

In April, Raspberry Pi raised costs tied to higher-memory products but left 1GB and 2GB Raspberry Pi 4 and Raspberry Pi 5 options at their prior levels. That split could not be maintained. Effective today, each 2GB variant receives a $12.50 lift.

2GB Raspberry Pi 4+$12.50$67.50
2GB Raspberry Pi 5+$12.50$77.50

Raspberry Pi says no other listed boards move today. The 1GB versions of Raspberry Pi 4 and Raspberry Pi 5 stay put, and the 2GB editions of Compute Module 4 and Compute Module 5 also remain unchanged.

Buying guidance for project planners

For individuals and organizations, IT Insights suggests treating this as a reminder to match capacity to actual workload. A Raspberry Pi 3B, 3A+ or 3B+ can be enough for many applications, and paying for more RAM than required is no longer the only affordable choice. The Raspberry Pi Official Magazine has previously published guidance on making the most of available memory.

If your organization needs application-specific advice, IT Insights customer service can be reached at contact@itinsights.com.

An earlier Raspberry Pi Official Magazine spread featured project ideas for the 1GB Raspberry Pi 5, showing how to work within that memory size.

Source through Raspberry Pi Approved Resellers

IT Insights repeats the official channel guidance: buy from Raspberry Pi Approved Resellers. Approved Resellers follow published maximum prices, reducing the chance of overpaying. The network has over a hundred authorized outlets on every continent except Antarctica, and several serve customers globally. Unapproved sellers may charge more or offer items that are not what they seem.

What comes next

The current memory supply picture remains difficult, but Raspberry Pi has noted before that the situation should not last forever. It expects lower memory prices to create room to reverse these product adjustments when the market allows.
