Automation access in Germany is being broadened for autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) through a strategic partnership between KOMSA GmbH and KUKA Group. The collaboration is presented as a way to extend automation solutions to a wider customer base across the country.
The stated objective is to make access, integration, and scaling of mobile robotics simpler for more businesses. The agreement is also intended to reduce adoption barriers for SMEs while adding automation offerings for IT resellers and system integrators.
Businesses of various sizes are applying artificial intelligence, robotics, and automation outside traditional industrial use cases. Labor shortages, rising costs, efficiency requirements, and flexibility needs are driving that adoption. SMEs are positioned as a scalable market, especially in material handling and logistics, where AMRs can serve as an automation entry point and supplement existing operations.
A joint partner program with training and certification supports the launch. KOMSA will act as the center of competence for KUKA Group’s mobile robotics solutions and may help selected channel partners with planning, implementation, commissioning, and customer acceptance. Initial pilot projects are already underway.
