According to Reuters, the European Commission confirmed on local time October 26 that it had accepted the remediation action plan submitted by Temu, a China-based e-commerce platform, following this May's penalty of 200 million euros over illegal goods sales risks.

The European Commission said the company's plan has five remedial measures to address the violations. Temu must carry out an interim risk assessment within four months, review possible defects in its content moderation system, and adopt corresponding actions.
A Temu spokesperson said the platform welcomed the European Commission's approval of the plan. Temu's parent company is Pinduoduo Holdings, also known as PDD Holdings.
The European Union's 3 euro fee on low-value e-commerce parcels, applied since early July this year, has also affected Temu and Shein. Earlier, parcels valued below 150 euros were exempt from customs duty when entering the EU.
