Authorities investigating a cargo theft in Brazil are examining three employees at Guarulhos International Airport in São Paulo. They are suspected of removing two pallets of ZOTAC GeForce RTX 5090 cards, a consignment valued at approximately $470,000.
The shipment was arranged by Oderço Distribuidora, a Brazilian hardware importer and distributor. The company said the products were purchased in the United States and were meant for its warehouse in Maringá. It also said no explanation was given by government departments or airport managers, and the company did not receive footage showing the pallets moving, so it decided to make the matter public.
One Brazilian television station found what appeared to be one of the missing cards on OLX, where the asking price was slightly above $6,000. The photograph in the listing clearly showed a serial number, and that number matched the stolen inventory. No information identifying the seller was left in the advertisement, and the page was later removed.
According to the reports, one employee may have recorded the goods as already released inside an internal system, helping the pallets pass electronic security checks. The two pallets were then loaded onto one truck, which remains missing. The case is still being investigated, the three employees have not been convicted, and the recovered quantity has not been confirmed.
Nvidia denied a separate rumor that it would end RTX 5090 production and move the GB202 chip to professional graphics cards.
